On Wednesday night, December 15th, the Chesterton – Porter Rotary Club hosted their annual Christmas Party. Rotarians were asked to bring non-perishable items along with canned hams in support of the food pantry. The response was overwhelming. Shown are Rick Hokanson, Rotarian and Director of the Westchester Food Pantry and Rotary President Jim Anton. There were 15 canned hams along with several bags of canned food donated. Also during the festivities, the Club raised $817 to donate to the pantry. Finally, Rotarian Tammy Bridegroom announced that an anonymous donor dropped off $500 in Wiseway gift certificates at the Duneland YMCA towards the cause. The Westchester Food Panty will make its pre-Christmas distribution on December 21st. Please consider the needs of others during this time.
